When death came calling

In this story lance corporal mark camp and his troops had to pass threw a deserted town, mark had a bad feeling that it wasn't going to be good. He was right a couple seconds later there was a huge kaboom. The truck in front of him was hit by an IED. Camp jumped out and ran to the truck when he got there the door was jammed shut and there was a fire inside he got the door open as the marines rounds were heating up and going off striking a few marines. when camp started pulling them out of the truck he recognized the voice of private first class Christopher dioxin. I can connect dioxin to my life because he loved to talk a lot about trucks,motor cycles and hunting and i like all 3 of those things and like to talk about them alot so I thought that was pretty cool.

Im not done reading this one yet but there has been alot of action so far. They were walking threw town and they came to a wall that was 5 feet tall and they saw a can on the Top of the wall. One of the marines yelled get back that means there is an IED near by. Before they could run there was an explosion. The squad leader Rubio got blown over by the blast and lost Consciousness and when he regained it he realized they were in a huge fire fight. he is also trained in medical so he had to rescue 2 guys so far out of the fight. i predict that a few more of there guys will get hurt because they are pinned down hard by alot of militants but they will get out because they are trained well.

Thug to Hero

In this story it was about a kid who when he was growing up got in a lot of trouble in middle school and high school. When he was 17 he decided he wanted to go into the military. his parents were very proud of his decision and his dad said"that's one of the only things that you have done that i support. so when he was 18 he joined the military. in his first battle his squad and him had to clear this building and before they could clear it that had to get to it and that was the hard part. there were 20 insurgents and 6 marines. The insurgents were putting down heavy fire on the marines and Martinez grabbed a RPG that a wounded insurgent drop and blew the building apart and i could really visualize that happaning.

do or die

The name of this story was do or die. This was bout 3 Humvee's escorting a supply convoy.
there were 3 humvees that got attacked by over thirty insurgents. They were out numbered 5-1. n this battle 3 men got shot within 5 minuets.To weren't severe just a shot to the hand so once they got fixed up they could go back to fighting but one guy got shot in the spine and it punctured his lung. They all lived but the guy that got shot in the back is paralyzed from the waist down. In this battle less then 6 marines shot and killed 26 insurgents but 4 had escaped.

So far i have read 2 of the short stories.the first one was about some solders that got pinned down by a bunch of insurgents. One of the solders saved 5 other solders in that battle. He earned a bunch of medals for what he did. He didnt get shot once but kept running back out into enemy fire.

The second story was about when some guys went on a patrol in a heavily populated with insurgents. There quest was to clear all of the houses of insurgents. they went into the first house and 3 marines were trapped on the second floor badly injured. When they got to the second floor a grenade rolled into the room, before any of the marines had time to scatter the grenade blew up and shrapnel ripped into ever marine. two marines died of shrapnel wounds.
